Founder & CEO
As the founder of Poppies and Peonies, and someone who has always had a deep love for flowers, events, and hospitality, this business has been the most meaningful way to bring those passions together into work that is both creative and service-driven.
With years of experience in both design and event execution, we specialize in weddings that feel effortless, elegant, and deeply personal. I believe every bloom should be placed with intention, every timeline built with care, and every celebration curated to reflect the unique desires of the couples we serve.
I am a Clemson graduate, a lifelong learner, and one who sees beauty everywhere—from travel and sunsets to quiet moments with my husband and children. While I lead the creative direction of Poppies and Peonies, none of this happens without the gifted and insightful women who serve alongside me. I am so proud to introduce you to the rest of our team, and I am so thankful you are here.
The women who make it happen
Mikala Pannell
With a background in counseling and over ten years of leadership experience, Mikala's calm demeanor, careful attention to detail, and clarity of communication are impactful for our brides, as well as for our team. She plays a key role in our event coordination and floral design work, as well as our staffing and operations — creating a culture that supports both our staff and our clients with her warmth, creativity, and southern charm.
Lynden Pedder
Lynden's experience as a luxury wedding harpist gives her a firsthand understanding of both timeless traditions and fresh, evolving trends. With a background in both business and the arts, she brings a blend of creativity, design sense, and business strategy to the team. Her ability to blend clear communication with an eye for design results in a client experience that is both elevated and easily engaging.
Erin Skipper
Erin holds a Master's in Organizational Leadership and oversees the training of new team members. Her intentional approach contributes to the high standard of excellence for our coordinating teams. With a calm, confident approach, she keeps things running smoothly on-site, and brides love her efficiency, attention to detail, and ability to make even the most complex timelines feel effortless.
Beth Bradford
Beth brings years of experience in marketing, nonprofit leadership, and event planning to our team. As one of our lead wedding planners, she guides each couple through the planning process with warmth, grace, and an eye for detail — bringing their vision to life with personal touches and polished execution. Her background in the southern event world, paired with her natural gift of hospitality, makes her a beloved part of every wedding she helps curate.
Sherri Settle
Sherri brings her well-rounded experience in business leadership, elegant hospitality, and event planning and coordination to her role as our rehearsal and ceremony coordinator. Her wealth of knowledge and insight is a value to every Poppies & Peonies celebration. With warmth, confidence, and a heart for service, she allows each couple and their family to feel cared for, providing a calm and completely supportive wedding weekend experience.
